MORE THAN A MOTHER
by Kari Keshmiry

When God set the world in place,
when He hung the stars up in space,
when He made the land and the sea,
then He made you and me.

He sat back and saw all that was good,
He saw things to be as they should.
Just one more blessing He had in store;
He created a mother, but whatever for?

He knew a mother would have a special place
to shine His reflection on her child's face.
A mother will walk the extra mile
just to see her children smile.

She'll work her fingers to the bone
to make a house into a home.
A mother is there to teach and guide,
a mother will stay right by your side.

She'll be there through your pain and strife,
she'll stay constant in your life.
A mother will lend a helping hand
until you have the strength to stand.

She'll pick you up when you are down,
when you need a friend she'll stick around.
A mother is one who listens well,
will keep her word; will never tell.

A mother never pokes or pries
but stands quietly by your side,
giving you the strength you need,
encouraging you to succeed.

A mother is one who can be strong
when you need someone to lean on.
You're more than a mother to me;
a reflection of Him in your face I see,
a love that knows no boundaries.

I'm glad that you chose to be
all this and more to me.
You share a love that knows no end,
you're more than my mother,
you are my friend.

THE FINAL ANALYSIS

Something I believe in and hold on to... :-)

1. People are often unreasonable, illogical & self-centred - Forgive them anyway.

2. If you are kind, people may accuse you of having selfish, ulterior motivs - Be kind anyway.

3. If you are successful, you may win some false friends & some true enemies - Succeed anyway.

4. The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow - Do good anyway.

5. Give the world the best you have, & it may never be enough - Give the best you have anyway.

You see, in the final anaysis, it is between them & God.. It was NEVER between you & them anyway...

LOVE SPELT AS "T-I-M-E"

I like what 1 Corinthians 13:3b from the message Bible says,
"No matter what I say, what I believe, and what I do, I'm bankrupt without love."

LIFE is all about LOVE &...
"the best expression of LOVE is TIME!"

Time is our most precious gift because we only have a set of amount of it. We can make more money, but we can't make more time.

When we give someone our time, we are giving them a portion of our life that we'll never get back. Our time is our life.
That is why the greatest gift we can give someone is our time! It is NOT enough to just say relationships are important; we must prove it by investing time in them. Relationships take time & effort, & the best way to spell love is
"T-I-M-E."

The essence of love is not what we think or do or provide for others, but how much we give of ourselves, and nothing can take the place of that.

Whenever we give our time, we are making a sacrifice, and a sacrifice is the essence of love!

We can give without loving, but we cannot love without giving.
Love means giving up-yielding my preferences, comfort, goals, money, energy, or time for the benefit of someone else.

The best use of life is love. The best expression of love is time. The best time to love is NOW
=)

LAW OF TIMING

There's a Season for Everything...

I posted the lyrics of a song 'EVERYTHING IN ITS TIME' by Corrine May in my earlier post. You can listen to the song simply by clicking on the title. A beautiful song & it reminds me of Ecclesiastes 3... :)

Recently, I've started reading The Maxwell Leadership Bible & I have been so blessed by the valuable leadership lessons from the Word of God! YAY!

Here's an excerpt from the book I've been medidating on...

... "we don't control the timing of most events; the best we can do is to recognize the timing. Ecclesiastes 3 teaches several important lessons:

1. It is our responsibility to recognize God's timing, not to change it.
2. It is our responsibility to accept & cooperate with God's timing.
3. Our alignment with God's timing makes a great difference.
4. God has made everything appropriate in its time.
5. God has put eternity in our hearts, so we must trust God to communicate His timing.
6. We can do nothing better than to rejoice & do good... " *grin* :)

EVERYTHING IN ITS TIME

Written by Corrinne May Ying Foo & Carole Bayer Sager
Copyright 2001 Corrmay Gourmet Music (ASCAP)
All About Me Music adm. by Warner Tamerlane Publishing Corp. (BMI)

Sometimes I wonder what lies ahead
How long till my hunger is fed
They say it's hard to make it in this part of town
So many people on this merry-go-round
Some folks try astrology
Some turn to crystal balls
To find an answer, To get through it all
I just fall on my knees and I try to pray
In the silence I can hear Him say

The river runs and the river hides
Out to the ocean and under the sky
I promise you, the answer will come
Hold on to patience and watch for the sign
Everything in its time

I often feel like I'm two steps behind
Somebody must have moved that finish line
There are a thousand reasons
Why I should give up
But I'm stubborn in the things I believe

The river runs and the river hides
Out to the ocean and under the sky
I promise you, the answer will come
Hold on to patience and watch for the sign
'cause maybe there's another plan
One I still can't see
A little surprise, like your love in my life
Funny how time changes how we see

The river runs and the river hides
Out to the ocean and under the sky
I promise you, the answer will come
Hold on to patience and watch for the sign
Everything in its time
Everything in its time

CONNECT

Relationships precede ministry. They are so significant in shaping our lives & helping us learn the truths (sometimes hard truths). It is ssoo...ooo important we build and maintain valuable friendships. Agree? Hmm..

With our busy, busy schedule in life, it can be pretty tough to stay CONNECTED with EVERYONE.. This blog is set up because people matters & I want to CONNECT with you.

"Two are better off than one, because they can work more effectively. If one of them falls down, the other can help him up... Two people can resist an attack that would defeat one person alone. A rope made of three cords is hard to break"
Ecclesiastes 4:9 (TEV)
Be blessed! *wink*
